Mr. Peter Kanaiya
Mr. Peter Kanaiya was appointed as the Chairman of the PCK Board effective Wednesday 13th July, 2022 for a period of three (3) years. Mr. Kanaiya, is an accomplished corporate executive with over fifteen years’ experience in ICT development and Data Management consultancy.
He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Finance and ICT from the University of Duquesne, Pennsylvania, USA.
He has previously served as a Board Director of several State Corporations and companies, including the Betting Control and Licensing Board from 2015 to 2021.

Ms. Deborah Bubi
Ms. Deborah W. Bubi was appointed as a Director of the Postal Corporation Board via gazette notice 7003, effective 17th June 2022, for a period of three years. Ms. Deborah, is an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya with an experience of 12 years in the field of law. She hold a Bachelor of laws degree conferred to her by the University of Nairobi in 2007 and currently pursuing a master of laws (LLM) (Public Finance and Financial Services).

MR. Alister D’ Souza
Mr. Alister D’ Souzawas appointed as the Director of the PCK Board effective Wednesday 6th October, 2021 for a period of three (3) years. He has 19 years of global experience in Shipping & Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Rail and Government Advisory.

Mrs. Esther Koimett
She holds a Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) degree and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree, both from the University of Nairobi.
Her long career in public service which exceeds 25 years in length, involves service as the Principal Secretary in the Ministry of Tourism. For at least 18 of those years, she has been involved in investment promotion, public enterprise reform and privatization. She is responsible for the divestiture of parastatal companies either through the selection of a “strategic investor”, or through the flotation of an IPO, on the Nairobi Stock Exchange.
Some of the privatized companies through this process, include Kenya Reinsurance Corporation, Tourism Promotion Services, Kenya Railways Corporation, Kenya Airways, Kenya Commercial Bank Group, Housing Finance Group of Kenya, Mumias Sugar Company Limited, Kenya Electricity Generating Company and Safaricom PLC.

Dr. Chris Kiptoo , CBS
Dr. Chris Kiptoo is the Principal Secretary, National Treasury. He was appointed Principal Secretary by President William Samoei Ruto on 1st December 2022. Dr. Kiptoo is the immediate former Principal Secretary, Ministry of Environment and Forestry. Before that, he also served as a Principal Secretary at the State Department of Trade, Ministry of Industry, Trade & Cooperatives.
In his working career, Dr. Kiptoo has acquired a rich wealth of experience in economic policy analysis, mainly gained at the Central Bank of Kenya, Capital Market Authority and the International Monetary Fund, where he has served in various capacities. His expertise especially relates to the design and implementation of monetary policy; balance of payments and exchange rates; fiscal operations and policy; financial sector matters including capital markets; national accounts/real sector and macroeconomic accounting, and modelling and forecasting.
Dr. Chris Kiptoo holds a Doctor of Philosophy Degree (PhD) in Finance (International Macroeconomics Finance specialization) from The Nairobi University, as well as a Master of Science (Ag. Economics) and Bachelor of Science (Ag. Economics) degree from Egerton University. He is also an Accredited Fellow in Macroeconomic Management Macroeconomic & Financial Management Institute of Eastern & Southern Africa (MEFMI).

Ms. Elizabeth Shungula
She holds a Bachelor of Commerce, Accounting option from Daystar University and an MBA in Finance from Kenya Methodist University.
She is also a qualified CPA (K) holder and a member of ICPAK. Ms. Elizabeth Shungula is currently the alternate Director, Postal Corporation of Kenya Board, representing the Principal Secretary, The National Treasury.

Mr. Paul Gichuki Macharia
Mr. Paul Gichuki Macharia is the Ag. Chief Economist, Ministry of Information, Communications, Technology, Innovations & Youth Affairs. He holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Economics from the University of Nairobi (1992 class) and a Masters of Arts in Economics from Indira Gandhi National Open University in India (2019).
Mr. Macharia has previously worked as an Economist in various Ministries’ including Transport & Communications, Tourism, Information & Communications and The National Treasury among others since 1996. He has also attended various Management and Leadership Certification programmes both within and without the country for the last 15 years.

MR. JOHN KIPYEGON TONUI
Mr. John Kipyegon Tonui is the current acting Postmaster General/ Chief Executive Officer of Postal Corporation of Kenya. Prior to his acting appointment by the PCK Board of Directors on 13th December 2022, he is the substantive General Manager, Human Resources, Administration and Development, a position he holds since 2014. Mr. Tonui joined Posta Kenya in March 1993 as a Management Trainee and he has risen through ranks in both defunct Kenya Posts and Telecommunication Corporation and Postal Corporation of Kenya over the last 30 years.
He holds a MBA in Strategic and Human Resource Management and a Bachelors of Arts Degree in Humanities and Social Sciences both from The University of Nairobi. He is a dynamic and strategic thinker, a consultant in Human Resource Management and a member of both Institute of Human Resource Management (IHRM) and the Kenya Institute of Management (KIM).
Mr. John Tonui is the current National Treasurer, Kenya Communications Sports Organization (KECOSO); National Trustee Staff Retirement Benefits Scheme Postal Corporation of Kenya; Patron/Chairman Posta Rangers Football Club; Patron Sotik Progressive Forum (SPF) and Leader for Empower to Empower programs among others.
